Key Opportunities

  1. Competitive costs: KP offers competitive operating costs, with wages and operating costs around 15-20% cheaper than Pakistan averages, and around 30-40% cheaper than India.

  2. Abundant skilled talent pool: There around 20 million youth in KP, facing 15% unemployment. Education systems are similar to India, graduating skilled computer scientists, many of whom speak English. Three of the top five universities in the country are in KP. Local talent is culturally compatible with western businesses.

  3. Government support: Strong package of Government support including waiving local service tax on IT/call center businesses, BPO ready spaces (first 1500 by end 2018), BPO focused IT park (by end 2019), investment in digital skill development (40,000 youth to be trained), and dedicated and responsive IT Board providing customized business support
