Purpose

OPEN Toronto is committed to maintaining a professional, respectful, and inclusive business environment.

Scope

This policy applies to all members, board members, volunteers, guests, and participants in OPEN activities and digital platforms.

Core Principles

Respect and Professionalism

Members must maintain professional conduct and respectful communication at all times.

Political and Religious Neutrality

OPEN Toronto is strictly non-political and non-religious. Members may not use OPEN platforms to promote political or religious ideologies.

Safety and Non-Violence

Any behavior that threatens physical or psychological safety is prohibited.

Inclusiveness and Non-Discrimination

Discrimination based on race, ethnicity, gender, age, religion, ability, or sexual orientation is not permitted.

Professional Communication

All communication must be relevant, professional, and aligned with OPEN’s mission.

Additional Expectations

Members must:

  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Respect intellectual property
  • Avoid conflicts of interest
  • Use OPEN branding responsibly

Enforcement

The Board will review alleged violations and may issue warnings, suspensions, or termination of membership.

Reporting

Violations should be reported in writing to the President or a Board Member.
