Sabir Sami
Sabir Sami became Global Chief Executive Officer of KFC Division in January 2022 and reports directly to the Yum! Brands CEO. In this role, Sami has global responsibility for driving the brand strategy and performance of KFC.
He previously served in a dual role as KFC Division Chief Operating Officer and Managing Director of KFC Asia, a role in which he led the global operations team and drove the KFC global operations agenda while overseeing Thailand, India, Asia Central and Greater Asia. Prior to this, Sami was Managing Director for KFC Middle East, North Africa, Pakistan and Turkey markets, where he was instrumental in growing the business and establishing KFC as a Relevant, Easy and Distinctive brand in the regions.
Sami joined Yum! in 2009 and worked on all three brands during his tenure as the General Manager of Yum! Canada and previously served as General Manager for the KFC Canada and Turkey businesses.
Prior to Yum!, he served in various leadership roles at Procter & Gamble, the Coca-Cola Company and Reckitt Benckiser. Sami received his MBA from The University of Karachi in Pakistan. He is married to Sara, a father of two sons and proud grandfather of a little boy. His passions include traveling, reading, staying healthy and running a charity in his home country of Pakistan.
Trevor McPherson
Trevor became the President and CEO of the Mississauga Board of Trade (MBOT) in August 2021. Prior to joining MBOT, Trevor was with the Ontario Chamber of Commerce (OCC) for 15 years, most recently serving as its Vice President of Member Services.
Under Trevor’s leadership OCC’s membership saw an extraordinary growth. He also oversaw OCC’s annual Advocacy Day at Queen’s Park, one of the most successful OCC activities and its signature event. Earlier, Trevor was Director, Strategic Initiatives and Governance at the OCC and also led the provincial Ontario Economic Summit (OES) initiative. Prior to the OCC, Trevor worked with the Province of Ontario as an Area Director in the Trade Development Division.
A graduate of Queen’s University (Political Studies) and Seneca College (International Business Management),Trevor enjoys playing guitar, and spending time with his wife Jennifer and two daughters.
Faisal Kazi
Faisal Kazi is the President and CEO of Siemens Canada. Mr. Kazi is responsible for leading the overall strategic management, direction and leadership of Siemens activities in Canada.
In addition to his role as President and CEO, Mr. Kazi is responsible for the leadership of the Smart Infrastructure business and serves as a board member of multiple Siemens affiliates in Canada.
Mr. Kazi joined Siemens in 1990 and has worked in various areas of the organization, including Energy, Industry, and Infrastructure, managing projects and business in many different countries across the world, including Germany, The Netherlands, China, Brazil, the Philippines, Mexico, and the United States.
Mr. Kazi is a Board Member of the Business Council of Canada, the Toronto Region Board of Trade, and the Canadian German Chamber of Industry and Commerce.
Under his leadership, Siemens Canada received the Best Siemens Country Award in 2019, and he was named the 2023 Executive of the Year by Ascend Canada.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, a Masters in Business Administration and a Diploma in Law.
A passionate champion of Siemens Canada’s corporate social responsibility programs, Mr. Kazi takes pride in giving back to the community.
He lives in Oakville, Ontario where he enjoys spending time with his wife and three children.
